Safety

It's very important to me that you feel comfortable and safe during the session. One thing you can count on is a safe space - come as you are and be yourself, no matter what. The moment you feel uneasy about anything, let me know! Don't be afraid of interrupting me or feeling rude - let me know what's on your mind.


I always encourage people to bring a friend or two - both for your safety and comfort. Having some companions along will help you feel safe and at ease during the session, which will result in better photos!


What's included

The base price for a session includes:

  • The photo session
  • Basic edits (color correction, light retouching)
  • Digital downloads (includes high-resolution versions)


Getting to know you

There’s a short questionnaire when you book the session where you’ll list the character(s) in the shoot and a location preference, and any general comments you may have. When I’m not already familiar with your cosplay, I’ll go to the source to become familiar with it so that I can tailor the session to fit that character. If there’s something you have in mind, feel free to discuss it - if there is an image or scene you want to recreate, you can email me pictures as a reference.


Scheduling

When you book your session, you can pick from any available time slot. If your schedule changes you can use the link in your booking email to come back and pick another available day or time, as late as 2 hours before your session.

Location

For shorter sessions it will usually be a single location. If you have a preference in location we will try to make that happen, but due to weather, venue restrictions, crowds, or practicality, a location preference is not guaranteed. Longer sessions may involve multiple locations, e.g. an outdoor and an indoor set.


Groups

Groups are an option for all session lengths, but the more people in a session, the less time there will be for individual attention and solo shots. For larger groups this means only group shots will be possible. For instance, 3 people in a 30 minute session may mean only one group shot and one final solo image per person. More people also reduce the time available to refine lighting, composition, and poses.


Image review and delivery

  • 1-3 weeks after the session, I will send you a link to an online album with image proofs for you to review.  In some cases, there might be several candidates for the final images, so at that point you can select your favorites and then I’ll perform the final retouching and edits on those, which will be delivered via the same online album.
  • Final edits do include basic facial retouching. Everyone has different preferences here, so let me know what and how much you’d like. 
  • Online albums will remain available for at least 6 months.


Retainer fee

A 25% retainer fee is due on booking. The remaining amount will be invoiced after the session, and the final images will not be delivered until payment is complete.
